چکیده

Objective: inflammation may play a role in bone loss by altering the remodelling process, favouring boneresorption osteoclasts over synthesis osteoblasts. Matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP-13) has abilityto activate osteoclasts, leading to resorption. Regenerative treatments have been widely used periodontology. When combined with Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), xenografts will give better results regeneration. The aim ofthis study was evaluate effect of xenograft PRF on MMP-13 expression defect usingan experimentally created defect. Material and Methods: eighteen New Zealand rabbits were assigned threegroups. Each group consisted six rabbits. A critical diameter size 5 mm wascreated right tibia each rabbit 1 (application: xenograft), 2 PRF), 3(application: PRF). produced from ml blood taken rabbit’s ears. After 30 days, the euthanized. tissue samples evaluated immunohistochemical staining. Results: 3showed lowest mean (4.50) compared (20.50) (11.70). Group significant difference (P = 0.000) < 0.05).Conclusion: this research showed that combination had MMP-13.The application osteogenesis ability KEYWORDSMMP-13; Xenograft; fibrin; Bone regeneration; Inflammation.

Nmp4/CIZ regulation of matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP-13) response to parathyroid hormone in osteoblasts.

Parathyroid hormone (PTH) regulation of matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP-13) expression in osteoblasts contributes to normal bone turnover. The PTH response region of the rat MMP-13 gene spans nucleotides (nt) -148 to -38 and supports binding of numerous transcription factors, including Runx2, necessary for osteoblast differentiation, c-Fos/c-Jun, and Ets-1. These trans-acting proteins mediate ...

Matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP-13) directly and indirectly promotes tumor angiogenesis.

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are extracellular zinc-dependent endopeptidases involved in the degradation and remodeling of extracellular matrix in physiological and pathological processes. MMPs also have a role in cell proliferation, migration, differentiation, angiogenesis, and apoptosis. We previously identified cancer invasion-related factors by comparing the gene expression profiles bet...

Altered endochondral bone development in matrix metalloproteinase 13-deficient mice.

The assembly and degradation of extracellular matrix (ECM) molecules are crucial processes during bone development. In this study, we show that ECM remodeling is a critical rate-limiting step in endochondral bone formation. Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) 13 (collagenase 3) is poised to play a crucial role in bone formation and remodeling because of its expression both in terminal hypertrophic c...

Expression of Matrix Metalloproteinase-2 and -13 and Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinase-4 in Varicose Veins

BACKGROUND The relationship between the degree of expression of matrix metalloproteinases or tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases and venous reflux remains to be investigated. MATERIALS AND METHODS Primary varicose vein tissues were obtained from 23 patients, 18 females and 5 males, aged from 19 to 73. Cephalic or basilic veins were obtained for the control group from 10 patients who underw...

Role of Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 in Both Endochondral and Intramembranous Ossification during Skeletal Regeneration

Extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling is important during bone development and repair. Because matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13, collagenase-3) plays a role in long bone development, we have examined its role during adult skeletal repair. In this study we find that MMP13 is expressed by hypertrophic chondrocytes and osteoblasts in the fracture callus. We demonstrate that MMP13 is required for...
